I wrote this one for The Five toward the end of my tenure in Pittsburgh. Back then one generally didn’t hear this type of country western shit-kicker anthem in rock clubs.
We recorded it in Boston with Lou Giordano, but never released it. Got some airplay as a radio-only thing. I recall Boston requiring a certain amount of self-medication.
Years later, a couple versions of "Stop It (Or I’ll Drink Myself To Death)" were recorded and actually released including one by Hamburg Germany's country western outlaws Hack Mack Jackson.
