Long ago in a past life, I spent some years in Pittsburgh and played in a band called The Five. We subsequently moved to Boston and made a whole lot of fucking noise before going straight to hell.
This is one of the tunes Mr. Black and I collaborated on during the days on the west coast leg of the Pixies tour in September 2004.
His recording of "I'm Not Dead (I'm In Pittsburgh)" is one of four that ended up on his fine album
Fast Man Raider Man.
